What to Expect

What are services like?

In all services we strive to honor God through prayer, worship, and the teaching of His word.  We seek to follow God’s will and be receptive to wherever the Holy Spirit leads.

What to wear?

Attire for morning worship at Mountain View ranges from jeans to suits.  All are Welcome!

How long are services?

Most Sunday morning services are between 1 hour and 15 minutes – 1 hour and 30 minutes but may be longer or shorter depending on where the Holy Spirit leads.
Most Sunday evening services are around 1 hour but may be longer or shorter depending on where the Holy Spirit leads.

What is your style of worship?

It’s not how you worship it’s Who you worship.  We do a blended style of worship mixing contemporary songs, old hymns, and everything in between.  The most important thing to us is that the music focuses our attention on God and draws us closer to Him.

What do you have for children?

Nurseries (Babies-3 year olds) are available during Sunday Morning Worship Service and Sunday Evening Worship Service.

During Sunday Morning Worship Service children are dismissed to Children’s Church (4-5 year olds) and Junior Church (1st Graders-3rd Graders) after the worship time and before preaching.

It’s a good idea for first time guest families to come 10-15 minutes prior to the start of service to sign in their children and give contact information.

 OUR MISSION

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Bible Fellowship Groups

We have groups for all ages that meet Sunday morning at 9:30am.

Worship Ministries

Psalm 100:2

Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.

It’s not how you worship it’s who you worship. We do a a blended style of worship mixing contemporary songs, old hymns, and everything in between. The most important thing to us is that the music focuses our attention on God and draws us closer to Him.
There are numerous ways to get involved in the worship and music ministry at Mountain View including:

English as a Second Language

Matthew 28:19

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

We are open to anyone wishing or needing to learn the English language.  Ultimately, our goal is to show them God’s love and share with them the gift of salvation. We are able to do this as we meet their need of language learning..

Children’s Ministry

Proverbs 22:6

Student Ministry

The Youth Group meets Wednesday from 6:30-8:00PM and is a time for youth to learn about being in a relationship with Jesus Christ as a disciple of Jesus Christ by faith.

Men’s Ministry

The Brotherhood is a group of men, open to all regardless of age or spiritual maturity, that seeks to support missions by educating men and encouraging them to participate in missions by Giving, Going and Getting on their knees in prayer. We seek also to grow men spiritually and encourage them to be godly men and husbands. To love their wives, carry out the Great Commission in their daily walk and to guide men to an understanding of what God has in store for them through various Bible studies.

The Brotherhood participates several times a year in mission trips locally, nationally, and internationally.

Women’s Ministry

Proverbs 31:20

She extends her hand to the poor, Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.

In 1888, a handful of women dedicated to the cause of missions founded Woman’s Missionary Union. GIVE AS UNTO THE LORD

II Corinthians 9:6-7

But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
