The Transportation Team is responsible for getting kids safely to and from Wednesday night services. They may also at times be asked to drive for special trips and outings. For our Wednesday services our vans have a driver and a rider to help navigate.
Van Drivers must be a church member, 21 years of age or older, and be on the church's insurance to drive.
Bus Drivers must be a church member 21 years of age or older, have a current CDL, and be on the church's insurance to drive.
Riders are anyone willing to serve.
Wednesday Meal Team
The Wednesday Meal Team helps prepare and serve the food for Wednesday night. They also help clean and organize the Fellowship Hall after the meal. This is open to those with a servant's heart and available Wednesday evenings.
Bible Fellowship Groups
One of the easiest ways to get involved is to join one of our Bible Fellowship Groups. This is a time to dive deeper into God's word with a smaller group and build relationships with others. We have groups for everyone from babies to our oldest member and we'd love to have you join us to be the church God has called us to be. Most of our Bible Fellowship Groups meet on Sunday at 9:30AM, but we do have some that meet during the week. We have a place and group for you!
The Welcome Team is there to make everyone feel welcome at Mountain View and to help first time guest find their way around. The team is broken into Greeters, Ushers, and Welcome Desk Helpers. This team is open to anyone with a servants heart, warm disposition, and enjoys meeting new people.
Safety Team
The Safety Team is there to make everyone feel safe and secure. The team has two parts: safety and medical. It is not required, but this team is good for those with previous law enforcement, military, and/or security experience. It is also good for those with previous nursing, EMT, or other medical training. Extra training and requirements are needed to be part of this team.
Visitation & Outreach Team
The Visitation & Outreach Team is there to reach out to those in our church and community. The team meets Tuesday nights at 7:00PM at the church before heading out into the community to spread the gospel, invite people to our services, and check in on members. This team is open to anyone.
BW-Baptist Women
This group of older women meets on the 1st Monday of each month at 11:00AM in the Church Fellowship Hall.
For more information contact Baptist Women President Wanda Shaffner through the Church Office 336-468-8199
The Brotherhood is a group of men, open to all regardless of age or spiritual maturity, that seeks to support missions by educating men and encouraging them to participate in missions by Giving, Going and Getting on their knees in prayer.
The Mountain View Choir sings in Sunday morning and evening worship services along with special community events and outreaches. The choir rehearses Wednesday nights from 8:00-9:15PM in the Worship Center. The 1st Sunday of the month is Fill The Choir Sunday, and we invite anyone interested to come join in. On Fill The Choir Sunday we do a familiar song so this is a good time to try us out. The choir is open to anyone, and we would love to have you join us!
The Praise Team helps lead the congregational singing in Sunday Morning Worship. The team is usually made up of 3 vocalist. We have several Praise Team members, so normally a member is only responsible for 1 to 2 Sundays a month. Being a choir member is not required, but it is helpful. The Praise Team meets at 7:30AM to rehearse songs with the band and is expected to be at both morning services for the worship set. A basic level of vocal skill and spiritual development are required for those leading in worship.
The Mountain View Praise Band leads weekly in Sunday worship and at different community events and outreaches throughout the year. Instrumentation typically consists of acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, strings, and vocals. The band is responsible for covering a wide variety of styles and genres of music. Band members are expected to be proficient on their instrument and be willing to make a large time commitment including weekly practice, Wednesday Youth Meeting, and all Sunday services. A certain skill level and spiritual development are required for those leading in worship.
The Mountain View Praise Band uses Wednesday Youth Meeting to help develop younger upcoming musicians and vocalists to lead in worship for their peers. Experienced band members help guide and train the next generation of believers in how to lead in worship.
The Tech Team helps our worship services run smoothly from behind the scenes. They are responsible for the audio, video, lighting, and media during Sunday and Wednesday services. Members of the Tech Team are encouraged to attend training workshops to keep up with emerging worship technologies. If you have experience in one of these areas and/or have a teachable spirit this ministry may be for you.
